Litterature, books and articles on
Nicolas-Noël Boutet, Directeur Artiste Versailles
Few books and not a great number of articles have been written on Boutet,
but he is very often mentioned in writing and descriptions by auction houses.
The two books I list here are in french, and articles both in french and english.

Still he is considered the best gunsmith of his period, but Versailles where he was born,
led his famous Manufacture and lived most of his years, still hasn't honored him naming
a street or square after him!

These two first books are the only ones I have found that has been written on this excellent gunsmith,
and they both are in french, and quite old already; the first printed in 1903, with a faxmile verson about 1963,
and the second was published in Versailles 1993

Both these books are out of print and only available second hand, in auction or antiquarian.
They are collectors items and sell for important prices if not too damaged.
