This is a starting page for a section with links and info on some gunsmiths, bladesmiths and other artisans
who often took part in the process of making and decorate a weapon.
My main interest is french pistols and guns from the period from Henri IV and his son Louis XIII trough Napoleon 1st. and 3rd.,
in years from ca.1600 through ca.1830. This is by many considered the highdays of french gunsmithing
and a period when France was leading in design and technological innovation
Some of the most illustrous gunsmiths from that period covering ca.200 years where french.
